Radomir and Vladimir have two silver and two bronze medals in three disciplines
Ukrainian Radomir Stelmakh won one silver and two bronze medals at the stage World Challenge Cup in Artistic Gymnastics in Antalya, Turkey. Another “silver” is in the assets of his compatriot Vladimir Kostyuk.
For both gymnasts, the awards were their debut at this level. Young athletes were able to prove themselves in the absence of the recognized leaders of the Ukrainian men’s team – Oleg Vernyaev, Ilya Kovtun, Igor Radivilov and Nazar Chepurny, who are preparing for the European Championship.
19-year-old Stelmakh was first able to achieve third place in the pommel horse exercises. He then achieved second best in the parallel bars final. Radomir won another bronze in the vault, losing second place to 20-year-old Kostyuk.
Let us recall that last fall Stelmakh, as part of the Ukrainian national team, won a team license for the 2024 Olympics. The Ukrainian team will be able to enter five gymnasts at the 2024 Olympics, who will be able to compete on any apparatus at the discretion of the coaching staff.
