Athletistic / Figure skating. Russian world figure skating champion Elizaveta Tuktamysheva was not included in the updated control groups of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA). TASS reports this.
The RUSADA test groups for the second quarter of 2024 included 11 skaters: Mark Kondratyuk, Makar Ignatov, Dmitry Aliev, Denis Khodykin, Andrey Mozalev, Ivan Bukin, Gleb Lutfullin, David Narizhny, Maya Khromykh, Daria Pavlyuchenko and Alexandra Stepanova.
In the 2022/2023 season, Elizaveta Tuktamysheva managed to win twice at the stages of the Russian Cup (in Moscow and Perm), as well as win a bronze medal at the national championship. During her career, she became world champion (2015) and silver medalist at the world championships (2021). She also has medals in all World Team Championship events. Last October, she announced that she was suspending her career.
In March 2022, the International Skating Union (ISU) suspended Russian and Belarusian athletes from participation in competitions under its auspices, against the backdrop of recommendations from the IOC. The reason for this decision was a special military operation of the Russian armed forces on the territory of Ukraine.
