Mixed groups will not be entered into the Russian Synchronized Swimming Championship, the press service of the Russian Synchronized Swimming Federation told .
The Russian Championship begins on April 20 in Yekaterinburg.
“Russian rules do not provide for the participation of mixed groups,” the press service explained by the lack of possibility for such a composition to enter the tournament.
For the first time in Games history, men will be able to compete as a team in group competitions at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The Summer Olympic Games will be held in the French capital from July 26 to August 11. Russian athletes will completely miss the Olympic synchronized swimming tournament.
