Earlier, Bach, in a conversation with pranksters Vovan and Lexus, said that the IOC asked Ukrainians to monitor the statements of Russian athletes on the Internet, which could serve as a reason for their exclusion from the Paris Olympics .
“He never hesitated to share such information. There is nothing new in his statements. He is a very careful person. The IOC does not hide its actions – in the case of the Friendship Games, when the guys called him, he realized that this would become known and commented on it before the program was released. He already knew what would be said, which is why the statement about the Friendship Games appeared a little earlier than in the program.
Apparently, he decided to inform us in advance, before we found out about it through the program. There was no surprise effect. Regarding monitoring, they immediately declared that they encouraged athletes, especially Ukrainians, to follow. They control all the likes. Even if a Russian athlete likes a position in which my child won a competition, this athlete will probably not be able to go to the Olympics.
They can see it like when the athlete comes to the Olympics. But it is unlikely that any of the athletes participating in the Olympics will like me – they can go home. It’s figurative. The principle is as follows: it is a monitoring obligation. It’s terrible because athletes are forced to watch athletes. These are their values. We don’t understand this, but for them this is the norm,” Zhurova said in an interview with TASS.
