Anastasia Faleeva won the women’s sprint event at the Russian Cross-Country Skiing Cup.
On Tuesday, during the PhosAgro sprint of the Russian Cup final in Kirovsk, Faleeva reached the semi-finals and took seventh place in the final protocol. The athlete was at the top of the small ranking before the competition and was able to maintain his lead by gaining 300 points.
In the sprint standings, Alena Baranova scored 280 points and Elizaveta Pantrina (245 points) retained third place. Kirovsk sprint winner Veronika Stepanova shared sixth place with Evgenia Krupitskaya (157 points each).
