Sport Arena, together with the PFL, is naming the hero of the next round in the First League. In the 2nd round of the second stage, this is Bukovyna striker Andrey Andreychuk.
What a holiday we saw in Chernivtsi! For the first time since 2017, Bukovina played in front of its fans in the First League and immediately won the long-awaited first crushing victory of the season. What’s going on in the current championship? Since the 2016/17 season, the Bukovynians have not staged such a defeat at this level.
Well done everyone, let’s highlight them separately 21-year-old Andreychuk. Having replaced the author of the second goal, Goncharuk, he took full advantage of the 29 minutes allocated by Andrei Melnichuk, scored a double and turned an ordinary victory into a crushing one. Fans of the “yellow-blacks” Andrey was instantly recognized as Player of the Match, Player of the Month, and our website, together with the PFL, gave him the main individual nomination – Player of the Tour in the entire First League on the second game day of the second stage.
The hero of the second round in the First League, Bukovina forward Andrey Andreychuk, in an exclusive interview with Sport Arena, shared his impressions of the victory over FC Chernigov (4:0). Let us note that the 21-year-old player scored a double in the Chernigov goal, entering the field from the bench. These were his debut goals among professionals.
“Of course, winning this honorable nomination gives me confidence,” Andreychuk admitted to Sport Arena. – This is motivation to progress and work even harder. However, I don’t pay much attention to personal achievements.
– Probably, before the game with Chernigov you didn’t count on this, because you started the game on the bench?
“I felt that it was my day and I had to score a goal.” Happy that I was able to help the team win.
– In the first round, the team did not show all its best qualities, but still defeated Dinaz – 2:0. In the game with Chernigov, first of all, was the task to achieve progress in the game?
– Now it is very important for us to win every game, so, first of all, we concentrate on the result. We are gradually developing game connections, working in different tactical schemes. I think that with every game we are progressing and moving in the right direction.
– In your opinion, how successful were the game connections? Do you already feel like you belong in the new team?
– I think that we already feel each other well. We spent a quality winter off-season, played a number of competitive sparring sessions in which we could get a feel for each other. I feel like I belong in the team; everyone welcomed me very warmly. Bukovina has a good microclimate.
– What tasks did the coach set for you when you came on as a substitute?
“The coach asked, first of all, to show our best qualities, to refresh the team’s play. I think that I succeeded, but there is no limit to perfection. I didn’t look at the score, I just went out to help the team.
– At the moment of the first goal, you received a pass from the Soldier and shot into the corner. What emotions overwhelmed you then? Is this your debut goal among professionals?
– Indeed, it was my first time scoring at a professional level, so I will remember this goal for a long time. I was filled with positive emotions. I would like to mention the fans who gave their support to the team.
– In the episode with the second goal, you turned at the corner of the goalkeeper and scored with your left foot with a ricochet from the post. Remember this goal.
– Showed his best qualities. I received a very high-quality pass into the free zone from our captain Maxim Lopyrenok. It is important that we managed to realize the moment. I thank my partners for their support.
– Who was the first to congratulate you on your double? What did the head coach say?
– The fans and the team, as well as all my loved ones, were the first to congratulate. The head coach shook hands and said that we need to continue in the same spirit. There is too much work ahead, so this is not the time for euphoria.
– How tangible was the support from the fans? Did you miss such an atmosphere?
– The support of the fans was felt 100%. I am grateful to our fans for their support. Without them we would not have been able to achieve this result. Together to victory!
Of course, I missed such an atmosphere during matches. In such a difficult time for the country, we are trying to please the fans with our play, as well as the defenders of Ukraine.
– In FC Alexandria, it so happened that your head coach was the coach of the Ukrainian Olympic team. Do you continue to communicate with Ruslan Rotan? Maybe he gave you some instructions before moving to Bukovina?
– Before moving to Bukovina, we met with Rotan and discussed everything. I am grateful to him for believing in me and for his support. Now we don’t communicate, because Ruslan Petrovich is concentrated in his team’s games.
– How would you rate the level of the First League? How competitive is this division?
– It’s nice to play with such competition. There are a number of teams in the championship that play football rather than fight back. Each team is determined to achieve results. There is a lot of struggle in the First League and you should be prepared for it.
– Does your experience playing in the UPL help you realize your potential now? What do you remember most about playing for Alexandria?
– I gained invaluable experience, which now helps me to prove myself. I remembered the use of different tactical schemes, so in terms of variability I significantly increased it. I would like to thank each of my coaches, because they received a number of useful information.
– Mark the strongest football player with whom you have already played on the same team?
– First of all, I would like to mention Kirill Kovalets and Vladislav Kalitvintsev. Each team had strong players from whom I learned a lot. I try to constantly improve.
– In your opinion, is the renewed Bukovina capable of fighting for the UPL starting next season?
– It may be too early to talk about it, but according to the feelings and attitude towards the team on the part of the management, Bukovina is ready for a promotion in class. There is a lot of work ahead, but we have every chance. We believe in our own strengths and move forward.
