The Luxembourger did not show up for the team meeting
Winger Gerson Rodriguez, pro-Bratislava Slovan on lease from Kyiv Dynamo, will leave the club early.
Slovan’s management intends to terminate the player’s loan early. The reason for this decision was Gerson’s non-return to the club after playing for the Luxembourg national team.
Rodriguez has been a Dynamo player since the summer of 2019. The winger was regularly loaned out to the Kyiv club – to Turkish Ankaragucu, Eyupspor and Sivasspor, French Troyes, Emirati Al-Wahda, Slovak Slovan.
In total, the Luxembourg footballer played 53 matches for Dynamo, in which he scored nine goals and gave four assists. Recently, Gerson was sentenced by the Luxembourg City Court to 18 months of suspended imprisonment and imposed a fine of 1,500 euros for violence and battery.
The 28-year-old player moved to the club from Bratislava in February of this year. According to Transfermarkt, this agreement is valid until the end of 2024, and Rodriguez’s contract with the Kyiv club expires in the summer of 2025.
For Slovan, Gerson played eight matches in all competitions. He has five goals and one assist.
The Luxembourger’s club leads the Slovak championship standings, 15 points ahead of Spartak Trnava with seven games left before the end of the second stage of the season.
