The ministry calls on Russians to exercise great caution. The department did not rule out provocations and detentions based on nationality. Zakharova said that there were even cases of kidnappings of our compatriots.
“Our citizens, our compatriots who were planning to come to Paris for the Olympic Games, must be extremely careful, because provocations are possible, illegal detentions are possible, kidnappings are possible, as happened with our compatriots, citizens Russians, all these years,” says Maria Zakharova.
The Paris Olympic Games will be held from July 26 to August 11. Russians authorized to participate in the games will play in neutral status.
