“We must take responsibility for this opening ceremony, we must prepare it with great care. France is a country which, unfortunately, has been under terrorist threat for several years. We have increased our vigilance after the terrorist attack in the Moscow region. We prepare several scenarios “If the threat develops and if we consider that the circumstances require it, we have backup scenarios. But the preferred scenario is the one that we prepare and which is agreed with all the organizers. Its details will be disclosed in due course,” said the French president.
The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will take place in Paris on July 26.
