Winner of the 2013 World Ski Championships Aliya Iksanova said she would try her hand at coaching after her career.
Earlier on Friday, 39-year-old Iksanova announced on the channel that she was ending her sports career.
— I’m in a good mood, it’s my last start in my career. The track was perfectly prepared, it was difficult, I had to work and be patient.
— Do you regret ending your career?
– No, it was an excellent path. New doors are opening, everything will be fine, even better than today.
— What is the most memorable moment of your career?
— 2013 World Championships, where we won bronze in the team relay.
-Aren’t you going to run on Sunday?
— I’m going to run, my favorite race is the classic, 10 kilometers. We prepare all competitions: classics and speed skating. Lately, about four years, I’ve been doing well.
— The race will take place in an unusual format.
“It’s clear to me, I’m going to run up the hill, I’ve done it twice already.” I just don’t know what it’s going to look like, how I’m going to get there. There is no particular preparation for such mountain stages.
—What do you plan to do next?

The skier won a bronze medal at the 2013 World Championships in the relay race. She also won two gold medals at the 2011 Universiade. Iksanova is now 39 years old.
