Olympic medalist Anastasia Kuleshova said she expects to show an interesting fight with the Olympic champion Veronica Stepanova for winning the uphill race in the Russian Cup final.
On Friday, Kuleshova won the classic time trial at the final of the PhosAgro Russian Cup in Kirovsk (Murmansk region). Stepanova took second place, 13.5 seconds behind. On Sunday, the tournament will conclude with a 10 km freestyle uphill race with a mass start.
“What I can say about the race ahead is that you just have to enjoy it. I’m going to run and remember the Tour de Ski. I loved running uphill, but I hadn’t done the mass start yet. There will be something new for me. I miss these sensations, soon in the mountains!
