The composition of the Ukrainian national hockey team for the 2024 World Championship in Division IB has been determined

Dmitry Khristich “weeded out” 14 hockey players

Coaching staff Ukrainian national hockey team led by Dmitry Khristich named the final composition of the team to prepare for World Cup 2024 V Division IB.

The application included 30 hockey players: 3 goalkeepers, 11 defenders and 16 forwards. In total, the coaching staff eliminated 14 players compared to the initial selection.

Goalkeepers: Bogdan Dyachenko (Sokol, Ukraine), Eduard Zakharchenko (Dnepr, Ukraine), Gleb Artsatbanov (Alberni Valley Bulldogs, Canada);

Defenders: Igor Merezhko (HK Spisska Nova Ves, Slovakia), Evgeniy Ratushny (Dnepr, Ukraine), Ivan Sysak (Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák, Hungary), Arthur Cholach (Sioux Falls Stampede, USA), Philip Pangelov-Yuldashev (Podhale Nowy Targ, Poland), Artem Grebenik (Ketterä, Finland), Alexey Dakhnovsky (HC Kosice U20, Slovakia), Vitaly Andreykiv (Zaglebie Sosnowiec, Poland), Vladimir Volkov (HC Modre Kridla Slovan, Slovakia), Vsevolod Tolstushko, Alexey Yanishevsky (both Sokol, Ukraine) ;

Forwards: Alexander Peresunko (HK Poprad, Slovakia), Ilya Korenchuk (GKS Tychy, Poland), Daniil Trakht (Lukko, Finland), Andrey Deniskin (Unia Oswiecim, Poland), Vitaly Lyalka, Gleb Krivoshapkin (both Kremenchug), Denis Boroday, Vadim Mazur, Victor Zakharov, Vladimir Cherdak (all Sokol, Ukraine), Alexey Vorona (HK 95 Povazska Bystrica, Slovakia), Mikhail Simchuk (Grand Canyon Univ, USA), Stanislav Sadovikov (Berani Zlin, Czech Republic), Evgeniy Fadeev (Snackpoint Eaters Limburg, the Netherlands), Nikita Sidorenko (Dnepr, Ukraine), Felix Morozov (Morzine-Avoriaz, France).

On April 9, the team will begin training camp in Kaunas, Lithuania. It is known that on April 15 and 17 the blue-yellows will hold sparring matches against Latvia in Riga.

The Ukrainian national team will begin its performance at the 2024 World Cup with a match against Estonia on April 27. Next, the blue-yellows will play with the Netherlands (April 28), China (April 30), Spain (May 1) and Lithuania (May 3). The winner of the tournament will advance to Division IA, the team that finishes last will drop to Division IIA.
