This is the second female license for Ukraine
Ukrainian wrestler Oksana Livach obtained a license for Olympic Games 2024 V Paris. She competes in the up to 50 kg category.
Oksana successfully competed in the European qualifying tournament in Baku. In the decisive fight, the Ukrainian lost to Maria Stadnik from Azerbaijan, but 10 seconds before the end of the match, Livac managed to throw four points and score a touch.
Livach’s license is non-name – another athlete can go to the competition instead of Oksana. In total, women have two licenses: previously, Irina Kolyadenko achieved success in the category up to 62 kg.
Previously, Zhan Belenyuk received a license for the 2024 Games in Greco-Roman wrestling, having won bronze in the up to 87 kg category at the 2023 World Championships. Another license was taken by Parviz Nasibov.
Representatives of freestyle wrestling will begin competing in Baku on Sunday. Another event where tickets to the Olympic Games will be awarded will be the world qualifying tournament.
The 2024 Olympic Games will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11.
