The 4th day of the Russian Rugby Sevens Championship ended in Sochi. The winner for the first time this season was Penza “Locomotive”.
In the final, Alexander Yanyushkin’s team confidently defeated Enisey-STM 31:12. In the match for third place, Zastava-7 left VVA-Podmoskovye no chance, defeating their opponent with a score of 31:0. Season leader Strela-Ak Bars only finished fifth, being eliminated in the quarterfinals by Lokomotiv.
In the standings, based on the results of four rounds, Lokomotiv moved closer to the Kazan team, with Zastava-7 from St. Petersburg still in third place.
The final two rounds of the Russian Rugby Sevens Championship will take place in November this year.
