BC Rivne won on the road against Kyiv-Basket in the second match of the semi-final series FAVBET Super Leagues – 81:78.
The capital’s team at home was hungry for revenge for a crushing away defeat (43:77) in the first meeting. During the first quarter, the Rivne team took a lead, but the hosts improved and managed to end the opening period in a draw.
In the second game, the Kyivians already had the initiative, but Mikhail Pereverziy’s team constantly stayed close, not allowing the opponent to increase their advantage in the score. By the big break, the hosts had a minimal handicap – 42:40.
The third quarter was decisive for the fate of the entire confrontation. In it, the visiting players managed to turn the game around and secure a +7 lead before the final stretch. Subsequently, no matter how hard Dmitry Zabirchenko’s team fought, the opponent kept it at a safe distance and eventually brought the match to victory.
Kyiv-Basket was not helped by Brentley Bynum’s 30 points and 7 rebounds. The MVP of the meeting was visiting player Alexey Soloviev (23 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists).
BC Rivne became the first finalist of the FAVBET Super League for the 2023/24 season. Her opponent in the decisive confrontation will be determined on April 14 in a duel between the Dnieper and Cherkasy Mavp.
