Five-time Olympic cross-country ski champion Johannes Klebo announced that he was returning to Norway team.
Last year, Klebo turned down a place on the team due to disagreements with the Norwegian Ski Federation, including issues of sponsorship and training conditions. Before the start of the season, the parties signed a standard agreement which allowed the skier to represent the country at the World Cup.
– Last year some circumstances arose that made it difficult. This is why I am very happy that we have now reached this agreement on time. First of all, it’s about the fact that I always wanted to be part of a team. I like being with my classmates, I have good contact with the service staff. I travel a lot with this group and I like being with them,” Klebo said according to NRK.
Klebo is a nine-time world champion and four-time World Cup winner.
