Exactly two years later, the Olympic Games will begin in Paris. Despite all the circumstances, the Russian Olympic Committee is a full member of the Olympic Movement. We continue to systematically prepare for the Games, and we are also working to ensure the possibility of qualification and the equal presence of our athletes in the Olympic Village and facilities, their participation in events during the Games,” Pozdnyakov wrote.
At the end of February, the executive committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended that federations not allow Russians and Belarusians to compete due to the situation in Ukraine. IOC member, former World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) boss Craig Reedy said Russia’s performance at the Paris Olympics is unlikely.
