Fans bought all the club’s shirts, whose players objected to LGBT symbols

Australian rugby union team Manly Sea Eagles shirts with rainbow ribbon have been bought in full by fans.

This was noted by social media users. On Twitter, some journalists published screenshots of online stores, where the product status is sold out – “sold out”.

This is how rugby league fans have reacted to the news that seven Manly Sea Eagles players have spoken out against LGBT symbols on their team shirts, citing personal and religious beliefs. Rugby players have come together to boycott the upcoming National Championship (NRL) game against the Sydney Roosters.

On Tuesday, club head coach Des Hasler spoke at a press conference, where he discussed the situation and confirmed that the seven “rebels” will not play in the next meeting.

The Manly Sea Eagles sit 9th in the NRL standings. The Roosters are their direct competitor for the playoffs.
