Vyalbe: “I didn’t enjoy the Russian ski slope, it was very hard for me”

President of the Russian Ski Federation (FLGR) Elena Vyalbe said she never thought about returning to the sport after retiring.

In February, Vyalbe took part in the annual All-Russian mass ski race – “Ski Track of Russia”, in which amateurs and professionals participate.

—Have you ever thought about resuming your career after finishing it?

“Those who didn’t have enough time return to their amateur careers. At one point I was running really hard. Someone says that after 15 years, a second wind opens. But I graduated in 1998 and only started skiing in 1998. I didn’t get a second wind. I didn’t enjoy the “Russian ski slope”; it was very difficult for me. I have such a character that if I go out on the track, I have to compete. Now I was skating for fun in Malinovka, in Kirovsk, ”reports correspondent in Vyalba.
