Swimming world record holder Evgenia Chikunova said that last year she received cash prizes for the record and paid taxes, and also noted that she was not going to complain about the size of the financial reward for the results.

Chikunova became second in the 50m breaststroke at the Russian Championships, held in Kazan, losing to Tatiana Belonogoff . At these competitions, the reward for the world record in the Olympic distance is 1.25 million rubles.
