Sorin, coach of the Russian national team: “Stupak didn’t tell me anything about his plans, I wasn’t interested in that either”

Russian national team coach Yegor Sorin told that Olympic cross-country champion Yulia Stupak did not inform him about plans for the new season.

On Monday, Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR) President Elena Vyalbe said Stupak would decide in the coming days whether he would continue competing.

— Do you have any information about Yulia’s future?

— It’s better to ask Yulia; I didn’t talk to him about it.

— She hasn’t announced her plans for the next season?

“I wasn’t interested and she didn’t say anything about the plans either.”

—Are you ready to continue working with her?

— The decision on the groups is made at the presidium, then they are approved by the Ministry of Sports. Yulia didn’t have such conversations with me, so I don’t even need to think about it, ”Sorin told .

Stupak missed the 2024 Russian Championship, which took place in the Arkhangelsk region. Last season she was part of Sorin’s group and didn’t win any medals.
