The Catalan club lost to PSG on aggregate
Mentor Barcelona Xavi commented on the elimination of the Catalan club in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
“This team will come back without me and they will do well because unfortunately, like in life, it’s from failures like these in football that you learn and grow the most.”
“We had a chance to make it 2-2 when Gundogan hit the post and Robert Lewandowski had a chance to make it 2-0. The chances are great, but when you play a game with ten players, it’s always difficult.”
“I would like to see what would have happened if we had stayed in the 11 vs 11 format. “I think we’ve done well in this Champions League campaign and Barcelona will be back to try and do even better next time.”
Barcelona finished at the quarter-final stage of the Champions League. In the first meeting, PSG lost to Barcelona (2:3), but the Blaugranas lost to the Parisians on their home field – 1:4.
PSG will play Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals of the tournament.
