Athletistic / Swimming. Russian swimmer Milana Stepanova shared her emotions after winning the 200 meter backstroke at the 2024 Russian Championships in Kazan. In the final, the 15-year-old Russian covered the distance in 2 minutes 11.37 seconds.
“To be honest, I was surprised myself. I thought I would get second or third place. Well, I tried not to think about the first one, but deep in my heart, of course, I wanted to win.
I like the fact that we have competition. There is something to achieve. I will try to set records,” Stepanova said, as quoted by Match TV.
Milana Stepanova plays for Saint Petersburg. At 15, she has already mastered the sport.
The Russian swimming championship will end on April 19 in Kazan. The competition takes place in the swimming pool of the Palais des Sports Aquatiques.
