Russian record holder Alexander Stepanov Withdrew from the Russian Swimming Championship due to shoulder injury.

Stepanov won the 400m freestyle at these competitions held in Kazan. He said he got sick before this race and didn’t have time to put in enough work for the longer distances. He did not start the 1500m race.

“I withdrew from all distances due to a shoulder injury,” Stepanov told .
