Senior coach of the Russian national team Yuri Borodavko told that he was not going to interfere in the training process of skiers Natalia and Alexander Terentyev after their transfer to Egor Sorin’s group.
The Presidium of the FLGR approved on Thursday the list of candidates for the national team and the composition of the groups. In the near future, the project will be submitted for approval to the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation. The Terentyevs will move from Borodavko’s group to Sorin’s group.
— It was said that you remained the Terentyevs’ personal trainer. So, will there be any consultations with you regarding preparation?
— Judging by the way it is written, I should have remained a personal trainer in the Arkhangelsk region, but since the regional team no longer exists, I cannot say how the athletes will behave. I am of the opinion that if an athlete prepares with only one coach and follows only one program, I prefer not to intervene. Don’t give advice unless asked.
