Bundesteam entered the elite division for the next season
Germany U-18 national ice hockey team beat Denmark in the final match World Cup 2024 in Division I-A – 6:4.
The Danes opened the scoring in the first period, and at the beginning of the second they increased their advantage. Germany responded 13 seconds after the second goal, after which the teams exchanged goals again.
The Germans managed to level the score in the third period, but again Denmark took the lead. In the last five minutes, Germany snatched victory by scoring three goals. Bundestim played the last into an empty net.
Germany U-18 scored 14 points and took the first place in Division IA of the 2024 World Cup. Team Ukraine finished the tournament with 13 points second line. Next year Bundesteam will compete in the elite division of the World Championship, the blue-yellows will remain in category IA. The Japanese team, having lost all five matches, was relegated to Division IB.
