All judges recorded the Ukrainian’s triumph with a score of 100:89
Ukrainian middleweight boxer Sergey Derevyanchenko (15-5, 10 KOs) triumphed over the American Vaughn Alexander (18-11-1, 11 KO).
The confrontation between Derevyanchenko and Alexander took place on the undercard of the show of WBC junior welterweight world champion Devin Haney with Ryan Garcia. The event took place in New York.
The Ukrainian confidently controlled the course of the fight, and in the eighth round he knocked down his opponent. Alexander finished the fight to the end, but the judges recorded a confident victory for Sergei – three times 100:89.
In his last fight, Derevyanchenko lost to Mexican Jaime Munguia by decision. Sergey was supposed to fight against American Rowdy Montgomery on January 6. However, the Ukrainian was injured and the fight fell through.
Earlier, Derevyanchenko said that he plans to perform in the professional arena for about two more years. The Ukrainian’s main goal is to win the title.
