“I am five out of five satisfied with the season. I completed all the tasks – I won gold at the Spartakiad and the Russian Championship” – skier Korostelev

Russian cross-country ski champion Savely Korostelev told that he was happy with the past season, as he completed all the tasks.

Last season, Korostelev won gold at the Spartakiad of the Strongest in the free team sprint, and also won the Russian championship in the classic team sprint and relay. In the general ranking of the Russian Cup, the skier came second after Alexander Bolshunov.

— Are you satisfied with your season? Did everything you planned work?

— I am satisfied with five out of five. Besides, I did well during the last stage of the Russian Cup, not counting the sprint. Gold at the Spartakiad, gold at the Russian Championship – I accomplished all my tasks. Of course, I wanted a personal first place in the main competitions, but for now gold at the Russian Cup stage will be enough.

— Is Yegor Sorin happy with you? How would you rate your year under management?

— I really like working with Yegor Vladimirovich. He understands me, I understand him. We constantly exchange ideas, we are in close contact. This can only be a plus. It’s a pleasure to work with him. Before the Russian Cup stage, he said that I didn’t have enough personal gold to give the season an “A”. “I took two,” Korostelev told .
