Silver medalist of the European Championship-2017 in cycling in the Russian knockout race Maxim Piskunov announced his intention to challenge the anti-doping rule violation suspension regarding the achievement of ADAMS.
ADAMS is an online data collection and storage program. Each athlete has his own profile, which contains information about his whereabouts, passed doping tests and their results, authorizations for therapeutic use of substances and / or methods prohibited in sport.
Previously, Piskunov was found guilty of violating All-Russian Anti-Doping Rules paragraph 4.4 (violation by an athlete of the procedure for providing whereabouts information). He was suspended for two years.
– Yes, of course – 24-year-old Piskunov answered ‘s question about whether he intends to challenge the disqualification.
He also noted that he has yet to make a decision regarding his retirement.
“It’s too early to finish,” he said.
Piskunov also won several times and became a winner of the Russian Championship.
