The blue-yellows played their last test match before the World Cup
Ukrainian national hockey team crushed China in the control match – 9:0.
The key in the match was the first period, in which Dmitry Khristich’s team scored five goals. Three goals flew into China’s gates in the second 20 minutes, and another puck in the third.
The meeting with Chinese hockey players was the final one for the blue-yellows as part of the preparatory camp for the 2024 World Championship in Division 1B. Let us remind you that earlier the blue-yellows first lost to the second team of Latvia (2:3), and then took revenge from them (2:1), after which they beat Lithuania (5:2).
At the 2024 World Cup, the Ukrainian team will start with a match against Estonia on April 27. Next, the blue-yellows will play with the Netherlands (April 28), China (April 30), Spain (May 1) and Lithuania (May 3). The winner of the tournament will advance to Division IA, the team that finishes last will drop to Division IIA.
