The international “Crystal Rose” tournament in rhythmic gymnastics in Minsk cannot be called an analogue of the World Championship, despite the high level of participants. This opinion was expressed by the five-time world champion during a conversation with Yana Batyrchina .
The tournament with the participation of Russian and Belarusian gymnasts took place in Minsk from July 22 to 24. For national athletes, this is the second international departure this season. The main stars of the tournament were Dina and Arina Averina, Lala Kramarenko and Belarusian gymnast Alina Gornosko. During the competition, the president of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation, Irina Viner-Usmanova, noted that this tournament for Russian athletes was “a world championship with the European championship”.
– I think you can’t equate the “Crystal Rose” with the World Cup, although now many people say that the tournament is no worse. Still, athletes from other countries, the same Bulgarian Boryana Kalein, Italian Sofia Rafael, Israeli Daria Atamanov, who played medals at the European Championships, could join the fight. They are very good gymnasts. Therefore, we always understand inside that such comparisons are more like calming us down. We don’t know how it could have been if they were all together,” Batyrshina told .
