Choreographer Murashov about the new short program Dikidzhi: “Something new in the music of world figure skating, his performance looks very cool”

Choreographer Egor Murashov, in a conversation with , talked about putting together a short program for figure skater Vladislav Dikidzhi for the upcoming season.

Dikiji won silver at the Russian Championship in the 2023/24 season, won two stages of the country’s Grand Prix and became third in the series finals.

— First of all, I would like to say a big thank you to Oleg Stanislavovich (Tataurov) and Vlad for their trust. The work process was very interesting and creative. I was incredibly happy to work with Vlad, we found a connection with him.

— Viewers know Vlad from his performances and media reports. How is he on the practice ice?

– A very responsible person. We became friends off the ice, but on the ice there was a certain subordination: choreographer – athlete. Everything I said, Vlad did. What didn’t work was fixed together. The program was put together not only by me, but also by his coaching staff. We always found a common denominator and never lost our enthusiasm. Working with Vlad was quite easy.

“I understand that it is wrong to disclose all the details of the program. But still, can you at least talk about it briefly?

— I also want to wait for Vlad to show the program at competitions and skate tests. For Vlad, this is something new. And in general, this is something new in terms of music in world figure skating; no one has ever skated on this composition. It looks very cool on the ice performed by Vlad.

— This is your second job with a great athlete.

— Yes, before that, I choreographed a short program for Roma Savosin, which he performed this season. I would like to say thank you to Roma, thanks to him other guys started calling me. I want to develop and, in the future, perhaps, do my own shows on ice or with someone, ”Murashov told .
