Figure skater Matvei Yanchenkov told that his loved ones, coaches and partner helped him recover from an injury last summer Ekaterina Chikmareva and a girl.
Last summer, Yanchenkov underwent surgery on the femur in his left leg. Together with his partner Chikmareva, the skater had to prepare for the season in a short time.
— What was your longest break from figure skating?
— Last off-season, I didn’t skate for two months when I got injured. I was in the hospital, I was not allowed to do physical activity.
—Were you worried that your opponents were preparing for the season and you were in dire straits?
“I was afraid for the future, I was worried. But I’m glad Katya and I managed it. My loved ones, my coaches and Katya helped me recover. Just then I had a girlfriend, she was supportive too. “We all came out of the situation together,” Yanchenkov told .
At the Russian Championship, Yanchenkov and Chikmareva won bronze medals.
