“Today, the International Olympic Committee, under the leadership of Thomas Bach, has lost all connection with sport and the Olympic movement. Thomas Bach made the IOC a tool to achieve his objectives with Western countries. Not surprising. If he had condemned the opposing actions, it would have been surprising. The best defense is attack. And that’s exactly what they’re doing now. It is obvious that if the Olympic movement continues on this path, it will lose its meaning in five years. Today, Russophobia has become a virus. Bach was once friendly towards Russia. Of course, he does this on instructions from above. Currently, the IOC authorities have succumbed to propaganda of hatred towards Russia and have long lost common sense,” notes Vasiliev in an interview with Sport-Express.
