Swimmer Misharina won the 400m freestyle in Banja Luka and reached the Olympic standard

Russian Ksenia Misharina won the 400 meter freestyle at the international Swim Wars competition in Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

In the final race, Misharina clocked 4 minutes 6.67 seconds. Second place went to Slovenia’s Zara Podřavnik (4:25.36), Croatia’s Ana Potláček (4:40.89) finished third. Misharina met the Olympic standard for this distance (4:07.90).

The winner in this discipline among men was the Russian Martin Malyutin (3:51.48), his compatriot Vladislav Reznichenko (3:51.63) finished second and the Serbian Nikola Simic (3:58.96) closed the leading trio.

Earlier, the President of the All-Russian Swimming Federation (RSF) Vladimir Salnikov said that for Russian swimmers the question of participation in the Paris Olympics was a turned page due to the admission requirements.

The competition in Banja Luka will take place on April 27 and 28. For many leaders of the Russian team, this is the first international competition abroad since 2022.
