Medvedeva ready to consider Moser’s offer to oversee figure skating club

Double world champion Evgenia Medvedeva said she was willing to consider the coach’s offer Nina Moser supervise figure skating clubs.

“Battle of the Schools” is a youth team competition between athletes ages 6 to 12. The final stage of the competition took place on Sunday in Moscow.

— Which children will you highlight during these competitions?

— I especially noticed the girl who won one of the categories of the tournament Evgenia Medvedeva. And so, there are so many talented kids that it’s hard to keep up with them all.

— Moser suggested that athletes oversee some sports clubs. How do you feel about this?

— It depends on what will be included in the monitoring functionality. So far, no such proposals have been received, but if they are, they will be accepted for consideration.

— Were there similar tournaments in your time?

– Yes of course. Moscow Open Championship, for example. It existed, exists and will exist,” reports according to Medvedeva’s words.

Leading schools, as well as representatives of commercial organizations involved in the development of figure skating in Russia, take part in the “Battle of Schools” or Moscow Sports Cup competitions.
