Russian Ksenia Misharina won gold in the 1,500 meter freestyle at the international Swim Wars competition in Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
The 15-year-old swimmer achieved a result of 16 minutes 17.07 seconds. Croatian Tina Saraga finished second (18.36.26), Serbian Lena Drk (19.12.40) third.
Earlier, Misharina won the 400 meter freestyle in Banja Luka and fulfilled the Olympic standard in this discipline.
In the men’s 800-meter freestyle, Russian Kirill Martynychev won (8:01.31), Serbian Nikola Ratkov finished second (8:09.34) and his compatriot Nikola Simic took bronze (8:15.49) .
The competition in Banja Luka will take place on April 27 and 28. For many leaders of the Russian team, this is the first international competition abroad since 2022.
