Russian Ilya Borodin won the 400 meter medley at the international Swim Wars competition in Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
In the final race, Borodin clocked 4 minutes 13.74 seconds. The second place was taken by another representative of Russia Alexey Sudarev (4.21.57), bronze by Croatian Juraj Barkot (4.32.59).
Russian Martin Malyutin won the 200-meter freestyle final (1:47.41), his compatriot Vladislav Reznichenko (1:48.66) finished second and Slovenian Arne Furlan Štular (1:52.75) completed the leading trio.
Among the women, the Slovenian Yanja Shegel (2.00.02) won in this discipline; Russians Daria Trofimova (2.00.84), Ksenia Misharina (2.01.13) and Yana Shakirova (2.01.99) finished second, third and fourth.
The competition in Banja Luka will take place on April 27 and 28. For many leaders of the Russian team, this is the first international competition abroad since 2022.
