Russian Kliment Kolesnikov won the 50 meter backstroke at the international Swim Wars competition in Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
In the final, the double Olympic medalist clocked 24.32 seconds. The second and third places were taken by other Russian representatives Pavel Samusenko (24.65) and Miron Lifintsev (24.78).
Russian swimmer Kirill Prigoda won the 100-meter breaststroke (1:00.27). Russian Danil Semyaninov (1:01.38) finished second, Dutch representative Ivo Cruz (1:02.42) third. Among women in this discipline, the first place was won by Russian Evgenia Chikunova (1:06.64), Croatian Ana Blazevic (1:12.08) – second, and Niya Gerdey (Slovenia, 1:14.04) closed the trio of head.
The competition in Banja Luka will take place on April 27 and 28. For many leaders of the Russian team, this is the first international competition abroad since 2022.
