Karabin, Slyubik, Vanat and a top goalkeeper who does not take into account injuries – the entire team of the 26th round of the Premier League

Sport Arena names the symbolic team of the next UPL round of the 2023/24 season, as well as the best in individual nominations, which are determined by our website for each round

On the website SportArena.com – teams of all rounds of the Ukrainian Premier League 2023/24. Who made it into the top 11 this time and won in individual categories?

Goalkeeper – Nazariy Fedorivsky (Obolon)

A good goalkeeping round – as often happens when there are goalless draws and several bright victories without conceding goals. You can mention Kudrik from Polesie, who did a great job against Vorskla, Minai player Kemkin for the victorious match with Chernomorets, and Turbaevsky from Lugansk for the match against Obolon. However, in our opinion, the coolest solo performance is again – the second round in a row – Fedorivsky. He parried two good shots from Guerrero alone and reacted to three more hits on target (including a cool save on the reaction after a good shot from Gorbach). He started one of the most promising attacks of the guests with the participation of Krasnopir and Taranukha. I finished the game with an injury, so after the match I left the field with the help of my teammates. Hello!

EtcFirst defender – Taras Dmitruk (FC Minaj)

The right flank of the Minai worked effectively against Chernomorets – suffice it to say that both goals ultimately “came” from there. In the first effective combination, Dmitruk was involved at the initial stage, and in the second he directly laid out a flank pass for an accurate shot from Remenak. Taras himself also shot at the guests’ goal. He acted generally actively, and in a difficult fight with fast opponents, with varying success, he nevertheless achieved an advantage.

TseCentral defender – Bogdan Slyubik (Rukh)

Slyubik played an unforgettable match against Veres. Before the break, the young, but already high-status defender of the Lviv team cut the ball into his own goal after a shot from Gaiduchyk, and immediately after the break he equalized the score after a discount from his defensive partner Kholod. The rest of the time, Bogdan carefully destroyed the offensive actions of his opponents, who had nowhere to retreat. He did a fairly large amount of work on tackles and interceptions, imposed a lot of fight on the Rivne team and helped his team win three important points thanks to a strong-willed victory on the city day.

TseCentral defender – Miguel Campos (FC Alexandria)

For Kolos, the last rounds are very important; the team wants to perform as well as possible in order to inspire hope in the fans and management. Therefore, in the home match with the Alexandrians, the hosts tried to score and win, and put pressure on the redoubts of the Rotan team. And then there was Loginov’s early injury, so Kampusch had to first establish a connection with the all-rounder Biloszewski, and then with Kravchenko, who came on instead. Miguel played very clearly with a minimum amount of defects and great benefit for the guests. The Portuguese made more than 20 tackles and rebounds, worked accurately with the ball and helped FC Alexandria not to concede against the Kovalevites.

Lefirst defender – Ivan Dibango (Krivbass)

The tireless flanks of Krivbass provided the hosts with a constant advantage and tempo attacking power. While Bandeira immediately provided an assist to Zaderaka in his debut, Dibango assisted the third goal just before the break. Ivan made a number of solo passes, often participating in multi-play moves to advance the ball. Therefore, in one of the attacks through the left flank, a high-quality cross delivered the ball to Lunev’s goal.

Tsecentral midfielder – Marlon Gomez (Shakhtar)

We have been waiting for a long time for the opportunity to consider the status of the newcomer Gornyakov, and in Cherkasy he received a lot of playing time and proved himself. True, the reason to replace Marlon already in the opening of the game was annoying – Bondarenko’s injury in his hometown. Gomez entered the game actively, participated in many combinations, and showed subtle elegance in his actions. Even after missing a lot of time due to injury, Marlon managed to integrate himself into Shakhtar’s game. It was he who intercepted the ball in the opposing half and provided an assist to Eguinaldo.

EtcFirst midfielder – Maxim Zaderaka (Krivbass)

Already in the debut, Zaderaka opened the scoring, receiving the ball after Bandeira’s cross and finishing great (he accepted it, turned around and immediately shot through the goal). Subsequently, Maxim interacted well with his teammates and shot twice more at the goal of Metalist 1925, of which he is a former player. We place Zaderaka on the right, because it is difficult to compete with Kevin on the opposite flank, and at the same time Maxim himself can cover this position and played in it for Krivbass.

Atoffensive midfielder – Timur Korablin (FC Minaj)

Understanding the strength of Chernomorets, the Transcarpathians started very actively – and were rewarded for this starting pressure. Korablin himself began the attack from the depths of the right flank, and when a teammate surrounded by him was unable to break through and catch the ball, Timur managed to run, work on the ball and deliver an irresistible shot from outside the penalty area. This creative football player was successful in his individual actions; he often took over the game and shot twice at the Odessa goal – and sometimes it was dangerous. As a result, he made a significant contribution to this important victory.

Lefirst midfielder – Kevin (Shakhtar)

The key and turning point of the Miners’ first goal came when Kevin once again skillfully worked on the flank, spinning a scoring pass to Sican. Shakhtar’s winter newcomer combined brilliantly, had an advantage over his opponents in a one-on-one game, and also shot at the LNZ goal himself. With Kevin’s active and brilliant individual play, he is still constantly improving his efficiency and involvement in scoring combinations.

Onfalling – Vladislav Vanat (Dynamo)

The match against Dnepr-1 was difficult for the Kiev team – the hosts took the lead and finished out the game with a majority, but Dynamo themselves did not succeed. However, Shovkovsky’s team showed their strong-willed qualities. Immediately after the break, Dynamo came back when Vanat fought for the ball and scored Kabaev from the rebound. Several times, the active Vladislav found himself in striking positions and at the end of the match, with a pass from Supryaga, brought victory to his team. Vanat has four effective actions (two goals and an assist each) in the last three rounds.

Onfalling – Yaroslav Karabin (Rukh)

Klimchuk’s injury posed difficult tasks for Rukh’s coaching staff – even midfielder Fedor had to be placed as a “false nine”. However, the way out was nearby, here is Karabin, who was sent to the reserve team during the season, but even in the Second League he showed scoring instincts and character. Having received his chance in the match with Veres, Yaroslav, even in the debut, took the striking positions himself and involved his teammates. And he made the game after the break, with the score level: first he rolled the ball under Talles’ precise shot (see the “Goal of the Round” nomination), and then completed Sych’s pass, scoring himself – his second goal in the UPL this season.

Tour coach – Zeljko Ljubenovic (FC Minaj)

The recent “inveterate” outsider – FC Minai – is sixth in the UPL based on the results of nine rounds of 2024 (and this despite the fact that many teams played more matches due to postponements). Lyubenovich assembled a combat-ready team from absolutely low-status and inexperienced players, taught them to play according to a tactical scheme that is not very common in Ukraine and to easily adapt, not only through substitutions, but often simply from phase to phase of the game. In the match with Chernomorets, the Minai found resistance to the intense play of their opponents and won their third victory under the leadership of the Serb.

Joker of the tour – Vladislav Supryaga (Dynamo)

Shakhtar and Dynamo’s substitutions worked well, but among the giants the victory was especially difficult for the Kyivians. In the central match of the tour, SK Dnepr-1 took the lead and finished the game in the majority, but lost points at home precisely thanks to Shovkovsky’s cool substitutions. Brazhko, who only came on as a substitute after illness, made a cool cutting pass, and Supryaga directly assisted Vanat for the winning goal. For Supryaga, this is the first effective action in 2024 in official matches and the second in the season. Let’s hope that this important assist will inspire Vladislav to progress in the coming rounds.

Best young player of the tour – Artur Mykytyshyn (Krivbass)

The 20-year-old midfielder filled the center forward position in the match against Metalist 1925. And I achieved success in this! Nikitishin shot at the Kharkov goal five times and scored an important second goal after a well-calibrated flank pass from Kuzik. For Artur, this is the first goal in the current championship, an important milestone in terms of development and the return of the most effective players of the Krivoy Rog club to the roster.

  • Sport Arena statistics: 6 league matches, 1 goal, 1 assist.

Best foreign player of the tour – Rafael Bandeira (Krivbass)

From a foreign player you always expect something new that is missing in our championship, new qualities and opportunities on the field. Bandeira really gives it to Krivbass. Sometimes playing in the style of Lahm or Kimmich, willingly working not only on the flank, but also in high-quality shifts and zone changes, Rafael creates difficulties for his opponents and breaks the density of their redoubts. In the match with Metalist 1925, it was the Portuguese who made a high-quality flank pass to Zaderaka, who famously completed the attack with an early goal.

  • Sport Arena statistics: 7 league matches, 1 goal, 3 assists.

Best goal of the tour – Talles Brener (Rukh → Veres)

Does Talles even know how to score routinely? In the spring part of the season, the Brazilian regained his playing tone, and each of his goals is a small masterpiece. In the match with Veres, Brener launched the ball into the goal along a beautiful trajectory after a pass from Karabin. In the last four rounds, Talles has three goals and one assist – now we find out the best foreign player of the UPL 2022.

Hero of the tour – Yaroslav Karabin (Rukh)

The 21-year-old striker gave a benefit performance against Veres – he assisted Talles and scored himself. The best match in the championship for Karabin, who was called upon to replace the injured Klimchuk.

  • Sport Arena statistics: 12 league matches, 2 goals, 1 assist.
