Athletistic / Others. USADA has expressed its displeasure with WADA over the protection of Chinese swimmers previously arrested for doping.
WADA’s statement regarding the 23 positive samples from Chinese athletes said the agency has evidence of an unintentional cluster infection.
However, the US anti-doping agency says it has intelligence that Chinese swimmers are deliberately doping.
“The facts and information support the conclusion of coordinated intentional doping, requiring WADA to open an investigation into the source of these positive tests,” USADA said.
The Americans feared that WADA was not respecting its own rules and principles.
“The failure to enforce its own rules is deeply troubling. Those who value fair play have been completely dissatisfied with WADA’s responses regarding the cover-up of 23 positive tests,” added the American anti-doping agency.
