Parma is in talks with coach Pecchia about a contract extension. He led the team to Serie A

The current agreement between the Crusaders and the 50-year-old specialist runs until the summer of 2025

Parmawho returned ahead of schedule to the elite of Italian football, is in negotiations with the head coach Fabio Pecchia on extending the contract until 2026. The current agreement expires in 2025.

Pecchia is 50 years old. In the 90s, he was a fairly famous midfielder, playing for Napoli, Juventus, Sampdoria, Bologna and other clubs. As head coach he led Verona, Japanese Avispa Fukuoka, Juventus U-23, Cremonese. He was appointed to Parma in the summer of 2022 and returned the Crusaders to Serie A at the second attempt.

Let us remind you that on May 1 it became known that Parma entered the elite division of the Italian Championship ahead of schedule. The Crusaders, led by Fabio Pecchia, lead Serie B two rounds before the end of the championship and have guaranteed themselves a place no lower than second. Parma is three points ahead of second place Como and seven points ahead of third place Venice.

Parma will play in Serie A for the first time since the 2020/21 season. Then the team took last place in the standings, gaining 20 points (3 wins and 11 draws) after 38 rounds.
