Ukrainians took silver in the free program at competitions in Paris
Ukrainian athletes Marina and Vladislava Alekseeva mined first medal for Ukraine in 2024 at Artistic Swimming World Cup.
The sisters took second place in the free duet program at the competition in Paris. Marina and Vladislava scored 243.9354 points. Austrians Anna-Maria Alexandri and Erini-Marina Alexandri won gold. Another Ukrainian duo, Daria Moshinskaya and Anastasia Shmonina, took fifth place with a score of 229.5792 points.
Earlier, the Ukrainians performed in the technical program of duets. The Alekseev sisters took fourth place, scoring 254.6116 points. Moshinskaya and Shmonina also showed the fifth result (248.1433 points).
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian artistic swimming team obtained a license for the 2024 Olympics in Paris. The performance of Vladislava and Marina at the World Aquatics Championships allowed Ukraine to take fifth place as a team. The license, however, is not personal.
