Olympic champion in cross-country skiing at the Beijing Games Veronika Stepanova spoke about how she is preparing for the season in the Belarusian Raubichi, and also admitted that Anastasia Rygalina taught everyone a lesson.
– Control training is almost a race, but with no reward. Your climbs are steep, Raubichi. Reminiscent of those in Davos, minus the height. Anastasia Alekseevna gave us all a master class today – especially on how to distribute forces for two 5.6 km laps, – wrote Stepanova in Telegram, accompanying the post with a training video where athletes overcome the climb.
Stepanova, 21, won the 4×5 km relay at the Olympics. Rygalina, 26, is the Russian champion in cross-country skiing and roller skiing. She also participated in the Beijing Games.
