Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are positioned behind the reigning world champion
Three-time world champion Max Verstappen in the Red Bull car became the winner of qualifying for Miami Grand Prix V Formula 1.
In the third qualifying period, the Dutchman showed a time of 1:27.241 seconds. Following the reigning champion were two Ferrari drivers. Charles Leclerc lost 0.141 s, Carlos Sainz – 0.214 s.
Another Red Bull driver, Sergio Perez, completed the second starting row. Next are Lando Norris (McLaren), Oscar Piastri (McLaren), George Russell (Mercedes), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), Nico Hulkenberg (Haas), Yuki Tsunoda (RB).
Let’s remember that Verstappen won the sprint race in Miami. Leclerc took second place in the race, Perez took third.
Verstappen scored his sixth podium this season. The main race of the Miami Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, May 5. Starts at 23:00.
