The coach complains about the poor implementation of scoring chances
Marino Pusic, Shakhtar’s head coach commented on the victory over Chernomorets (3:0) in the 27th round of the UPL.
“I’ll say about today’s match that we played almost wonderfully, taking into account all football aspects. I’m very pleased with our performance – concentration, implementation of the tactical plan.”
“And I think all the players played very well, which I’m very happy about as well. As I said to the players, the only thing I can complain about, but I don’t, is that we should score more goals. But it is impossible to always end all attacks with goals. We were active and I’m very happy with this game.”
“In many things, all the games with Chernomorets were similar. Perhaps the second game was a little different because Chernomorets defended more.”
“But there were a lot of similar moments in other fights, they really try to play like that. If you give them room to act, they can outplay you in some areas. Therefore, I would like to praise Chernomorets: despite this result, they showed today that they want and are trying to play. But we did a really good job and that makes us hard to play against.”
“It’s an interesting experience – three matches with one opponent in a month, because you’re always trying to find new details, how to beat certain moments, find new flaws, new space. I liked it”.
The Miners are leading the UPL, four points ahead of Dynamo. On May 11, Shakhtar and Dynamo will play a key match of the season, which will, in fact, determine the national champion.
