For the first time in the history of Ukraine, two tennis players from our country entered the top 20 of the world rankings
Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) published an updated ranking of the best tennis players in the world.
The first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina dropped to 19th position, and Marta Kostyuk showed the best result in her career, rising to 20th place. Thus, for the first time in the history of Ukraine, two representatives of our country entered the top 20 of the world rankings.
Over the past week, Daria Snigur, Yulia Starodubtseva, Ekaterina Beindl, Angelina Kalinina, Dayana Yastremskaya and Anastasia Soboleva improved their positions. Lesya Tsurenko moved down three lines, taking 44th position in the ranking.
In the top 10, Marketa Vondrousova overtook Zheng Qingwen, and Maria Sakkari dropped to eighth position. The first racket of the world remains the representative of Poland Iga Szwiatek.
