The sailors suffered five defeats in a row against the UPL
Mentor Chernomorets Roman Grigorchuk commented on the defeat from Shakhtar (0:3) in the 27th round of the UPL.
“From what I have seen, today we are much weaker than Shakhtar. And we are unlikely to be a serious rival for them now. We must acknowledge and accept this. Of course, we need to think about the necessary ways to become stronger and consider how to achieve a positive result in the next matches with Shakhtar.”
“Such games are useful for all football players. Matches with such opponents make our players stronger. We were up against a team that had players with excellent characteristics, such as speed, thinking, reaction, and by playing with them we became stronger.”
“Young players acquire the necessary skills and understand what they need to strive for to play in the Champions League. I see the level of Shakhtar’s performers and they are powerful.”
Chernomorets has a series of five defeats in a row. The Sailors are in 10th place in the UPL standings.
On May 12, the Odessa club will host Metalist 1925.
