Olympic ice dancing champion Roman Kostomarov published a video of a joint dance with a choreographer Ilya Averbukh .

In early 2023, Kostomarov was hospitalized due to complications from pneumonia. The 47-year-old athlete began suffering from tissue necrosis and underwent several limb amputations. Kostomarov later underwent prosthetic surgery and performed several times at ice shows with his wife.
