Double Olympic champion fencer Inna Gracheva (Deriglazova) will not be able to participate in the All-Russian Spartakiad due to the postponed operation, the head of the Russian Fencing Federation (FFR) Ilgar Mamedov told .
The fencing tournament within the framework of the First All-Russian Spartakiad will be held from August 21 to 28 at the Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Palace in Moscow.
According to Mammadov, almost all the strongest current fencers of the Russian national team will take part in the competition – Sofia Lokhanova (Pozdnyakova), Yana Yegoryan, brothers Kirill and Anton Borodachev, Aizanat Murtazaeva, Marta Martyanova and others. The exception will be Inna Gracheva.
The final composition of the competition will be known after the regions have submitted their respective applications. According to the regulations, the tournament will be as close as possible to the Russian championship.
